Aranyaani Forest Campus — Nature is the Curriculum

Forest-Based School in South Bengaluru Inspired by J. Krishnamurti

Aranyaani Forest Campus is a nature-based learning community situated on a 10-acre living scrub forest in Sridhara Sri Gudda, Kengeri, South Bengaluru. Inspired by the educational teachings of J. Krishnamurti, we nurture the child's natural curiosity and intelligence without comparison, fear, or artificial competition.

Schooling encompasses Classes 1 through 10, blending NCERT foundational academic competencies with an official National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) pathway. Admissions for the 2027–28 academic cycle are open for Classes 1 through 9.

Core Educational Pillars

  • Nature as Teacher: The forest, weather cycles, soil, and living flora and fauna form the primary living curriculum.
  • NCERT & NIOS Academic Foundations: Standard mathematical, linguistic, and scientific rigor integrated with practical real-world application.
  • Freedom from Comparison: No marks, rankings, or exams up to Class 7; assessment is qualitative and observational.
  • Craftsmanship & Land Stewardship: Hand tools, carpentry, mud-brick masonry, natural clay pottery, and organic farming.
